
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),
Atiku Abubakar, and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki has arrived in
the Washington, DC, United States.
DAILY POST gathered that Atiku is expected to speak at the Chamber of Commerce on Friday, from 2:30pm to 4pm on Thursday.
His visit, which was confirmed by Saraki’s aide on New Media, Oluwole
Onemola, is against the believe that the former Vice President cannot
visit the US due to corruption charges.
Meanwhile, Paul Ibe, the special Adviser on Media to former Vice
President and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP), Atiku Abubakar, had earlier on Thursday dismissed reports on
social media that his principal has traveled to the United States of
America.
Ibe told political correspondents on that the reports were false.
According to him, Atiku has not left the shores of the country and
could not have landed in the US as being peddled on social media.
However, latest reports have now confirmed that Atiku is in the US.
He is also billed to attend other high profile meetings in and
around the US capital. A source close to the Atiku Campaign team also
confirmed to a Tori News correspondent that Atiku left Nigeria last
night.
