Ekwunife slams governor soludo

The All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate in Anambra State, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has launched a scathing attack on Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, dismissing allegations against her academic credentials and criticizing his performance in office.

In a viral video, Ekwunife reacted to Soludo’s claim that she obtained her doctorate degree from an unaccredited U.S. university. She challenged him to verify her qualifications, insisting her degrees were legitimate.

“Go to court if you claim my PhD certificate is fake. Go to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, to verify my master’s degree, and to the University of Calabar for my first degree. I did both before obtaining my PhD,” she declared.

Ekwunife also accused the governor of parading what she described as a questionable professorship, saying it was “merely a departmental award and not globally recognized.”

“The illiterate professor that said he is the governor of Anambra State should please leave me alone. We are practicing social democracy in Nigeria, and every political party knows its candidates. Soludo contested for governor twice before Willie Obiano imposed him on Ndi Anambra,” she said.

The senator further lambasted Soludo’s record in office, alleging that insecurity has worsened under his administration.

“All the bushes in Anambra are full of corpses. Anambra was a state people came to every Thursday, but now they are running away. You have failed woefully as a governor,” she said.

In addition to her political criticisms, Ekwunife made personal remarks targeting the governor’s hygiene, describing him as “the dirtiest governor in Africa” and alleging he suffers from bad breath and body odour. Speaking in Igbo, she went further:

“Have they not told you that your mouth smells? You smell, your armpits smell. Tell your wife to get you deodorant. When you open your mouth to speak, the odour that comes out is embarrassing for a governor.”

Governor Soludo has yet to respond publicly to the senator’s remarks.
