Hon. Ejeh Udeh, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Otukpo, Benue State, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen.
The incident occurred at his Ugboju residence around midnight on Monday. Eyewitnesses said the assailants, who arrived on a motorcycle, laid in wait for him before launching the attack.
According to accounts, Udeh was shot multiple times in front of his family shortly after he entered his house.
His remains have been deposited at the Otukpo General Hospital morgue.
