British-Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua has honoured two of his late associates, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, by tattooing their names on his body months after the pair died in a road accident in Nigeria.

The tribute was revealed by London-based tattoo studio Fulham Tattoo, which shared images of the artwork on Instagram on Thursday, noting that the former two-time heavyweight champion visited the studio unannounced for the session.

The studio described the visit as Joshua’s first, thanking him publicly for choosing their facility.

The tattoos were dedicated to Ghami and Ayodele, both key members of Joshua’s training team, who lost their lives in December after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a truck along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

Joshua, who was also in the vehicle, survived the crash but sustained injuries and was hospitalised before later returning to the United Kingdom.

Ghami served as the boxer’s strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele was one of his trainers. Joshua subsequently attended both funerals, joining family, friends and members of the boxing community in mourning their loss.

The incident, which involved a Lexus SUV colliding with a stationary truck on December 29, 2025, triggered widespread reactions across Nigeria and the international boxing world, with fans and colleagues paying tribute to the deceased and sympathising with Joshua over the tragedy.
