The Anambra State Government has demolished a hotel that was being used as a front for a kidnappers’ den. The hotel, known as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also referred to as La Cruise Hotel, is located along Onitsha Owerri road in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.
The demolition was announced via the official X account of the Anambra State New Media Office.
According to the account, the hotel was found to contain at least 30 partitioned graves and a shrine on its premises.
A video of the demolition was shared on the New Media Office’s X account, accompanied by the message:
“Demolition of kidnappers den disguised as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites AKA ‘La Cruise Hotel’ along Onitsha Owerri road.
“The hotel has well-partitioned graves of over 30 on the last floor with a shrine!!”
