The former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ali Modu-Sheriff is meeting with the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo behind closed doors.
Recall that Sherrif had a protracted power tussle with the incumbent Caretaker Committee Chairman, Senator Ahmed Makarfi over who is the authentic Chairman.
It was the Supreme Court judgement that was in favour of Makarfi which brought respite to the party. But of late, the Sheriff faction threatened to dump PDP for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, even as the Vice President South South alongside the Delta State faction loyal to Senator Sheriff have announced their defection.
