Chidi, one of the staunch PDP youth leaders in Imo state, died after he was killed by a hit-and-run driver in the early
hours of Saturday, August 12th. His friend and also a PDP member,
Emmanuel Olorunmagba, shared the sad story online.
He wrote
“ON A SAD NOTE: WE LOST A GREAT WARRIOR, CHIDI, IN BATTLE FRONT!
Oh God! This is very pathetic. We lost a great warrior just at the heat of the battle!
Comrade Chidi, a dedicated youth leader from Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA of
Imo State was knocked down in the early hours of yesterday, Saturday,
12th August, 2019 in Wuse after arriving Abuja from Imo State for the
PDP Non-elective National Convention and he died as the driver escaped.
He left behind a pregnant wife and his aged mother amongst others.
Oh death where is thy sting?
Oh Chidi, we assure you that your death for our beloved country, your death for our great party will never go in vain!
We assure you, Chidi, that we will not let you down: we shall fight
more ferociously to ensure that this country you died fighting to set
free from the jackals, hyenas, baboons and dogs is finally liberated
come 2019 and we shall honour you with 5 minutes silence come 29th May,
2019 during the presidential swearing in as PDP takes over power again!”
