In a congratulatory message issued by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Christopher Sabo Yilgwan, the institution commended the governor’s leadership, describing it as transformative and impactful across sectors, particularly healthcare.
The hospital noted that under Mutfwang’s administration, Plateau State has witnessed significant improvements in healthcare delivery and institutional development, which have strengthened public confidence in state-owned medical facilities.
According to the statement, Plateau State Specialist Hospital has benefited from several interventions, including the expansion of residency training programmes, installation and equipping of a modern laboratory, completion and furnishing of a new administrative block, and expansion of the paediatric complex.
Other achievements listed include increased manpower, establishment of a functional radiodiagnostic centre, migration to Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and the installation of renewable solar energy systems within the hospital.
The management said these developments have repositioned the hospital for improved efficiency, sustainability, and quality healthcare delivery to residents of Plateau State and beyond.
It further reaffirmed its commitment to delivering patient-centred healthcare services in line with the governor’s vision for a healthier state.
