The fourth batch of Nigerians evacuated from South Africa has arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
The 282 returnees arrived aboard a chartered Air Peace flight on Friday, July 10, bringing the total number of Nigerians repatriated since the evacuation exercise began on June 11 to 1,141.

The Federal Government commenced the voluntary evacuation following renewed anti-immigrant protests in South Africa, with more than 1,000 Nigerians indicating their willingness to return home.
Officials said the final batch of evacuees is expected to arrive in Nigeria next week, concluding the ongoing repatriation exercise.
