Keke Rider Offers Free Rides in Celebration of Governor Mutfwang’s 60th Birthday

A tricycle rider in Plateau State, Bavuk Dokgak Ishaya, has chosen to celebrate Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s 60th birthday uniquely by offering free rides to commuters throughout the day.

Ishaya, who plies his trade within Jos, said his gesture was inspired by the governor’s strides in the transportation sector, particularly the introduction of Metro Buses, which have eased movement for residents.

“I filled my tank with fuel today to give free rides to anyone who stops me. This is my little way of showing appreciation because I have nothing else to give. I have been doing this since morning,” he said.

He also revealed that he shares the same birth month with the governor, further motivating his act of kindness.

“I share the same birth month with the governor; my birthday is on March 16. This makes it even more special for me to celebrate him in my own little way,” he added.

Ishaya further praised the governor’s efforts in improving security and road infrastructure, noting that these have made life easier for transport operators like himself.

“Although the governor didn’t buy this tricycle for me, I am happy with what he has done in Plateau. With peace and good roads, we can work more effectively. Thank God we have a God-fearing governor. In less than two years, he has done his best,” he said.

As Governor Mutfwang marks his diamond jubilee, gestures like Ishaya’s reflect the growing appreciation for his leadership and contributions to the state’s development.
