Nigerian music star David “Davido” Adeleke has publicly criticized the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Umar Abba, in a series of posts on X, accusing him of disrespecting the rule of law.
The Afrobeat singer, in an impassioned outburst on Monday, referred to the commissioner using expletives and challenged his authority.“Mr Commissioner, respect the rule of law!!! You are not madder or crazier than us!! Make we all kuku mad!! MEN MOUNT WALAI TO KRF!!! I will post you every day everywhere Mr man!!! Try me f**ker,” he wrote.
In another post, he described the commissioner as a ‘disgrace’ to his children.”Mr. Umar Abba, Osun State Commissioner, u are a disgrace to ur children!!! Game on F**KER!!!! All of us go mad together!! W*rey!!!”
The singer also shared a video in which he vowed to challenge the commissioner’s actions.

Background to Davido’s Outburst
Davido’s rants come amid a political controversy involving his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, who recently accused former governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, of attempting to destabilize the state.Governor Adeleke, in a press statement, alleged that Oyetola was using his influence as President Bola Tinubu’s nephew to disrupt governance. He accused the minister of working alongside the Osun State Commissioner of Police, the state’s Director of DSS, and the Commandant of the Civil Defense Corps to enforce a controversial court ruling.
Adeleke warned of potential unrest and called on President Tinubu to intervene, urging Nigerians to hold Oyetola responsible for any lawlessness in Osun State.
