As the year 2015 rounded off, we recognized some of
JTown’s ambassadors who have tirelessly moved the Jos city brand (Plateau
State), in their own little way they have made a mark with in and
outside the state.we counted down the top 10 and profiled them, pointing notable area of influence
NUMBER 10. JD LUKA JOGAMA : Jos Gospel Art and Music Awards (JOGAMA) is an
event, the first of its kind and the only successful and well organized
award night event in Jos. All thanks to the visionary leadership of JD
Luka, It is an annual event that is organized by lovers of gospel music
and talents on the plateau, under the leadership of Clear-Mind
Entertainment, a Jos based gospel entertainment company. It is aimed at
Recognizing, Promoting, Appreciating and Encouraging gospel music
artist/ministers and talents.

NUMBER 9. MISS PLATEAU PEACE RAMNAN She is unarguably the most
beautiful girl on the plateau 2015, from Langtang North LGA, a 300level
student of University of Jos currently studying business management. She is an orphan Losing
both parents when she was six(6) years old, But still got the
encouragement and strength to battle through life to become a better
person.
She emerged Miss Plateau 2015 in pageant organized by Silverstone/Gotham
City Network and PRTV Jos, on 8th November 2015. She emerged queen with
overwhelming votes and won a car, currently occupying the office and
status as miss plateau for the next one year.
NUMBER 8. LYRICAL DR SMITH:

Simon Smith Segak also known as Lyrical Dr.smith is from pankshin LGA of
Plateau state He is an awesome O.A.P with UnityFM, majors as a
musician doing Hip Hop(Rap), A major break was as a finalist at The
first edition of peak talent show competition 2009.
Achieving allot, he has gradually gathered fans all around Nigeria, Ghana ,Cotonou and beyond.
His
“Waya SHI” single has been a jtown anthem even winning song of the year
Lyrical Dr Smith is surely the next big artist who in no time will export Jtown talent to the world.
NUMBER7.MARGARET INUSA MEKA:

she is married with two adorable children, Victor
and Stephanie Meka, the founder and president of Sweet Relationship
Network and the host of the Sweet Relationship Show on Peace 90.5 FM,
every Saturday by 8:30pm. She is also the Senior Pastor of a world-class
Ministry, Glorious Life Int’l Church, here in Jos. An NLP expert and
recently initiated a relationship and marriage mentoring programme, the
Sweet Relationship Mentoring Programme.
NUMBER 6. DAVID ONIMISI KING:

He has vast experience in broadcasting Holding down the Morning Drive on
Rhythm 93.7 Jos for years now, easily referred to as the “king on
radio” He has won various awards for being the best radio presenter on
the plateau.
NUMBER 5. AKUME AKUME: He is one of the popular Nigerian artistes based in Jos,
the Plateau State capital. He is an actor, model and a musician. He
recently Launched a project to create awareness and fight Prostate
cancer, using his talent to raise funds and some of his proceeds from movie making,
from fashion house and assistance from family and friends abroad with
few individuals who are helping to make this a reality.

NUMBER 4. Bridget Adukwu-MD/CE MEES PALACE
Mees Palace is a top notch event center that has clearly
distinguished itself amongst other event center in Jos and its environs
as an entertainment center and as the home of outdoor and indoor event
hosting , Surely creating a reputation for themselves by hosting some of the
biggest societal events.

Nigeria. He has refused to leave Jos despite the turmoil because he sees
a healthier future for comedy in Jos.
He believes that everyone’s got a talent and should be respected no
matter how little their skill is because even animals have talents, it’s
just that they do it the animal way..He moves around with the slogan of #Josambassador Despite being in Jos he has become one of the house hold names in stand up comedy in Nigeria.

Grace Jerry is a disability rights advocate, Peace promoter
and music artiste working to create an inclusive world where everyone counts.
Within the last few years Grace has brought freshness to advocacy efforts in Nigeria
through her unique blend of passion and music bringing prominence to the
important roles Persons with disabilities can play in National development.
