14 killed in Jama’a crisis, Kaduna Police Command confirms

The Kaduna State Police Commissioner has confirmed that 14 persons had
died during the killings that occurred at Ungwan Pa in Jama’a Local
Government.

Speaking to journalists about the crisis, he said that the killings
which was orchestrated by unknown individuals was been investigated as
military and para-military personnel are combing the area to apprehend
those responsible for the dastardly act.

Shedding more light on them issue, the Police Public Relations
Officer (PPRO) of Kaduna State Mr. Yakubu Sabo said that the command
will continue to hunt down the perpetrators of the heinous crime as he
calls for calm amongst the people of area.

He added that no stone will be left unturned as more personnel of the
police and army had been deployed to the area to calm tensions so as to
forestall any reoccurrence especially during the yuletide period.
