Nigerian actress and reality star, Annie Uwana Macaulay, made waves with her introduction at the 2025 Headies Awards, leaving fans buzzing with speculation.
While introducing herself on stage, Annie almost slipped and said her former last name Idibia — linked to her marriage with music icon, 2Baba (formerly known as Tuface Idibia).
She however stopped herself midway, never completing the name, and instead proudly introduced herself by her maiden name, Macaulay.
The crowd immediately caught on, cheering loudly in support. Smiling, Annie responded with playful energy, shouting out to the crowd “hey my single ladies” — a move that felt like a clear reminder that she’s fully embracing her new chapter.
Some fans insist it was done on purpose just to show she’s doing ok, others are saying she forgot, and she’s not fully tuned with reality.
