Osimhen Surpasses Odegbami to Become Nigeria’s Second All-Time Top Scorer

Victor Osimhen has moved ahead of Nigerian football legend Segun Odegbami on the country’s all-time top scorers list.

The Galatasaray striker achieved this milestone on Friday evening, scoring in the 11th minute of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali.

Osimhen entered the match tied with Odegbami at 23 goals but edged ahead after converting a free-kick cross from Ademola Lookman.

With 24 international goals, the Napoli loanee is now second only to Rashidi Yekini, who remains Nigeria’s top scorer with 37 goals.
