A horrific incident involving the gang r@pe of a 12-year-old girl has been reported in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State. The crime, which occurred on December 24, 2024, sparked outrage.
The victim was said to have been sent on an errand by her mother when she was lured into an uncompleted building by the five suspects. They allegedly assaulted her and recorded the heinous act, later posting the video on social media.
The Edo State Police Command has arrested three of the suspects, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining two individuals.
Popular Nigerian actress, Jemima Osunde, has fumed over the incident, decrying the heinous act she wrote;
“A 12 yr old girl was r@ped by 5 boys in Edo state. Her mother sent her on an errand and they took her into an uncompleted building and did this to her. It didn’t end there, they recorded it and posted it. A child! 12 years old!,” the actress wrote.
