Nigerian music stars Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage have officially reconciled after a seven-year-long rift that began over a social media disagreement.
The feud started when Yemi Alade made a cryptic post criticising female entertainers for allegedly enhancing their buttocks in photos to “deceive their fans.” The post came shortly after Tiwa Savage shared images highlighting her curves, prompting Tiwa to respond sharply: “Don’t start a war you can’t finish.”
The reconciliation took place on Thursday in Lagos during the ‘The Price of Being Her’ panel, organized by Entertainment Week Africa.
During the event, Alade addressed Tiwa directly in a moment that has since gone viral online. “I honestly want you to know that those moments you get rugged and do what you truly want to do, you are standing up for many females. Just continue being you. You are literally walking in strength,” Alade said.
Moved by the tribute, Tiwa Savage was emotional and later shared a warm hug with Alade, singing joyfully in a video that has been widely shared across social media, marking a heartfelt end to their long-standing dispute.
