The Rotary club of Jos Tin City celebrated the 2022 World hunger day in Rokkos Community of BARKIN ladi Local Government Area of Plateau state, Nigeria.
The Club in Collaboration with The Avalanche of Hope foundation provided relief to persons living in Rokkos Community as part of activities in commemoration of the World Hunger Day on 28th May, 2022.
The intervention had Four(4) different Internally Displaced Person’s Camps gathered in a designated venue as the service to Humanity was delivered to its fullest.
The intervention provided include;
– 427 children given vitamins & dewormed.
– 62 pregnant women given prenatal supplements to last 6months
– 93 non-pregnant women given vitamins & dewormed.
– 70 men given blood tonic & dewormed.
– Number of Children who accepted to formal education- 263
117 – Books distributed to community Children.
– 60 Adult learning books distributed.
– Distribution clothes, shoes or books to Children.
It was indeed a fulfilling moment for the RC: Jos Tin City to collaborate in carrying out this great Project.
The President of the Rotary Club of Jos Tin City, Rotn. Lonny John Lohnan, thanked the the Executive director, Avalanche oF Hope Foundation for this great opportunity to serve humanity.
The Club President also, thanked the Board of Directors and entire members of the club through the Leadership of, Director community service, Rotn. Gbenga Owonubi and the the members that were present, Rotn. IPP. Owolabi Folaranmi, Chair Welfare of the Club, Rotn. Esimena Garpiya and the Amiable Rotn. Rufus Olukunle James for the great sacrifice to the Rokkos Community in BARKIN Ladi in Plateau State.
