The big question always asked is, if we really need Love? People always feel indifferent about Love because of their experiences but it is worthy to note that no matter what your experiences may be, it does not take away the existence of LOVE itself.
Don’t let any one tell you that you don’t
need love. Love, if you ask me, is the thriving heart of our existence.
We are human and humans inherently crave connection; love, is the
greatest connection of them all. The best thing about it, though, is
that it comes in many different shades and forms; it is transcendent.
Love
can be the tender moments you share with a partner, the sensual or the
brutally honest. It can be the times you are at your lowest point, say a
tear-streaked face and disheveled hair, but there is only one person
whom you feel can pick you back up. Love can be screaming fights,
moments of seemingly combustable passion or even the times you need to
be apart from someone who you care deeply about.
Love can be the
way you will always fall back to your family or friends, blood or
otherwise, even though some days they make you want to rip out your
hair, scream or cry. Love exists within the most fevered, dysfunctional
moments and it exists within the most tender and honest. Without love,
these moments would make no sense to us. They would have no rhyme or
reason.

Love can be the sympathy or compassion you feel towards
near-strangers around you, the drive and tireless hours you invest into
your job or hobbies, or the faith you invest in those around you. Love
is love; it is passion, hurt, regret, sex, longing, lust, trust,
dependence, religion, faith and a million other things.
Love is
the heartbeat that keeps you in a forward gait, it humbles you and it
inspires you. The fact is, we require love to thrive. It may make us
crazy or break our hearts or it may feel as if it has escaped us
entirely, but never doubt that it is present within the shifting moments
of your life. We are far from perfect, days and moments will challenge
us endlessly, but through all those passing seconds, the trials and
tribulations, love, in it’s many shades, will help to guide us. Love
holds us together.
