Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has expressed her gratitude after receiving a Hall of Fame award at the Reffa Awards in Ghana over the weekend.
Sharing a video from the event on her Instagram page, Ozokwo revealed that she woke up with a “grateful heart” and appreciated being celebrated while still alive.
“I woke up this morning with a grateful heart. Thank you @reffaawards for the honour. Thank you, Ghana. Thank you, Africa. Thank you, MamaGLovers. Happy to be celebrated while I am still here. Hall of Fame recipient ReffaAwards,” she wrote.
Several colleagues and fellow Nollywood stars took to her comment section to congratulate her. Uche Jombo, Susan Peters, Moyo Lawal, Ekene Umenwa, Monalisa Chinda, Eucharia Anunobi, and Jane Obi were among those who celebrated the veteran actress for her achievement.
The recognition adds to Ozokwo’s long list of accolades and highlights her enduring influence in the Nigerian film industry.
