It has been confirmed that the Yahoo boy arrested for beheading his girlfriend in a money ritual is Nigerian gospel singer and performing artist, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, popularly known as Timileyin.
Recall that Ajayi was arrested on Sunday, January 12, 2025, near a church in Orozo, Abuja, with the head of his girlfriend concealed in a nylon bag.
According to a report by Legit NG, Ajayi, who had been in a relationship with the victim for about a year, confessed to the crime during police interrogation as seen in a video shared online.
In his defense, he revealed that he and his girlfriend engaged in a heated fight, and she tried to stab him with a knife. However, things turned unexpected as he ended up beheading her.
During interrogation, Ajayi allegedly confessed to the crime and revealed that the rest of the victim’s body was at his residence.
The incident was confirmed by Comrade Abwami Nuhuson Daniel, Secretary of Orozo Community, on his Facebook page, where he wrote:
“I got the shock of my life as we apprehend a ‘Yahoo’ ritual with a human head (his girlfriend) inside a nylon in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, FCT. I thought I just used to watch things like this until I experienced one ‘live’ today. In my community. And this guy said the remaining body of the girl is still in his house. God have mercy on this generation.”
