Former world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has officially retired from boxing, just weeks after suffering his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.
In a short video posted on his Instagram account, Fury, 36, expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his career.
“Thanks to everyone who helped out along the way! Happy new year. Jesus is king now and forever”, Fury, 36, captioned the short video uploaded to his Instagram account to announce the decision
“Thanks; it’s been a blast, I enjoyed every minute of it” he said.
Fury had announced his retirement multiple times before today. The Manchester-born boxer lost his last fight to Usyk by unanimous decision last December, and it now means the expected fight against Anthony Joshua would no longer happen.
