Tribunal Upholds $220 Million Fine Against Meta, Awards FCCPC $35,000

The Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal has upheld the $220 million fine imposed on Meta Platforms Incorporated by Nigeria’s Federal Government.

This was announced in a statement on Friday by the Director of Corporate Affairs at the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), Ondaje Ijagwu.

Ijagwu also revealed that the tribunal awarded the commission an additional $35,000 to cover the costs incurred during the investigation.
