President Bola Tinubu has removed Dr. Muheeba Dankaka as Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), replacing her with Ayo Hulayat Omidiran, a former member of the House of Representatives.
In a statement on Monday, presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga described Dankaka’s tenure as “dogged by controversy.”
Tinubu also appointed Mohammed Musa as the new FCC secretary, while retaining Kayode Oladele (Ogun) as commissioner. The appointments of Lawal Ya’u Roni (Jigawa), Abubakar Atiku Bunu (Kebbi), and Eludayo Eluyemi (Osun) were renewed.
Abdulwasiu Kayode Bawalla will now represent Lagos State.
