Tinubu Nominates Odion, Rabiu as FCCPC Executive Commissioners

President Bola Tinubu has nominated Louis Odion and Ummusalma Isiyaku Rabiu as Executive Commissioners of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

The nominations, which have been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation, were disclosed on Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via a statement on 𝕏.

Under the FCCPC Act, 2018, Odion is to serve as Executive Commissioner, Operations, while Rabiu will take the role of Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services.

Odion, from Edo State, is a veteran journalist and former Senior Technical Assistant on Media to ex–Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. He also served as Edo State Commissioner for Information and holds Master’s degrees in Modern War Studies from the University of Buckingham, UK, and in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.

Rabiu, 35, from Kano State, is the founder of the Usir Foundation, a non-profit focused on education, skills development, and humanitarian work. A grassroots politician and community advocate, she is known for championing youth and women’s participation in politics. She holds a degree in Business Administration.
