Popular TikTok personality, Peller, has publicly apologised following his arrest and detention by the Lagos State Police Command over an incident involving dangerous driving and an alleged attempt at self-harm.
In a video that circulated on social media, the content creator expressed remorse and appealed to Nigerians for forgiveness.
“I am sorry, Nigerians. Please, I’m sorry. I will never do that again. I’m very sorry, please. For now, I am on medication. Once I am done with my medication, I will be online,” he said.
The incident has been linked to Peller’s recent breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis. Jarvis had earlier confirmed the end of the relationship, stating that Peller’s struggles with emotional control influenced her decision to leave.
Confirming the arrest, the Lagos State Police Command said Peller was taken into custody after his actions were considered a serious threat to public safety and himself.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, when Peller was allegedly seen driving recklessly while livestreaming on social media, an action that reportedly led to a serious accident along the Lekki–Epe Expressway.
The police added that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation, after which the content creator will be charged to court.
Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, cautioned social media influencers and digital content creators against promoting or engaging in reckless behaviour online, stressing that such actions would attract strict consequences under the law.
