It was celebration in the air over the weekend as the executive governor of plateau state clocked another milestone age wise. President Goodluck Jonathan represented by Vic. President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark,and National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Adamu Muazu, Ministers, Governors, deputy Governors, and Royal Fathers were all in Jos over the weekend to celebrate with Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State as he marked his 70th birthday. They extolled him as a man born to lead who governed as a military administrator and is governing now as a civilian governor and making much impact on the Plateau state by revamping so many sectors. Governor Jonah Jang speaking earlier at a lecture in honour of his birthday, said he has started the process of replacing old politicians with younger ones in the Plateau politics as the elderly ones are now ready to groom the younger ones. Later In his speech, Jang further thanked God for preserving and making him strong at 70 and as an instrument to impact positively on the lives of people. On a lighter note, Baba Jang told of how in his early days he had been a ladies man but had outgrown it to become a spectacular leader in his own right. The ceremony took place at Du district of Jos South local government area and had amongst it renowned artiste like Ay, ice prince ,victor uwiafo ,mc longs ,osama, solomon Lange and more to make it fun in celebrity style.
Leadership is from God and 70years “no be beans” may God in His infinite mercy continue to imbue him with the courage, good health and strength to serve his state and country!
