Streaming platform Twitch has temporarily suspended the account of Nigerian reality TV star Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, after flagging her content for violating its Community Guidelines relating to sexual material.
The action, which took effect on March 1, 2026, imposes a one-day suspension preventing the former reality show winner from livestreaming and accessing certain platform features for approximately 24 hours.

According to the notification issued by Twitch, the guideline strike will remain on her account record until May 30, 2026. The platform also informed her of the option to appeal the decision or file a counter-notification under its DMCA procedures if she believes the enforcement was made in error.
“Your account has been temporarily suspended from streaming. You will not have access to some features related to streaming for the duration of your suspension,” the notice stated.
The suspension followed a livestream session Phyna had scheduled with another influencer, which she marked with an 18+ tag. The age-restriction label and the nature of the broadcast are believed to have contributed to the platform’s decision.
Phyna rose to national fame after emerging winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, themed Level Up, at the finale held on October 2, 2022. Her victory earned her prizes valued at about ₦100 million.
Before her rise to prominence, she worked as a commercial model and later built a career as a content creator, hype personality, fashion entrepreneur, actress, and livestreamer in Nigeria.
