Nigeria’s Super Eagles have climbed four places in the latest FIFA men’s world ranking released on Friday, moving from 45th to 41st position.
The upward movement follows the team’s recent victories against the Crocodiles of Lesotho and the Squirrels of Benin Republic in their World Cup qualifying fixtures.
With the new ranking, the three-time African champions have also broken into the top five teams on the continent, now sitting behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria.
On the global stage, Spain retained the top spot, while Argentina climbed to second place. France, England, and Portugal complete the world’s top five.
