Special Envoy to Plateau State Governor on Peace & Security Prof. Kwaja Urges Citizens to Shun Retaliation, Embrace Lawful Solution to Insecurity Caused By Act Organized Crime in Plateau

The Special Envoy to the Executive Governor of Plateau State on Peace and Security, Prof. Chris Kwaja, has emphasized that retaliation is not the solution to addressing insecurity caused by organized crime in the state. Instead, he urged citizens to work with the government and security agencies to promote peace and stability.

Prof. Kwaja Made the submission on Wednesday while granting an interview to Some Newsmen in Jos, following a report by Daily Trust newspaper of an alleged killing of a header in Shen, Jos South LGA, where he also caution citizens against taking the laws into their hands saying, those involve in act of retaliation under whatever guys are running foul of the law, which constitutes criminal offence.

Prof. Kwaja stressed the importance of civic vigilance in safeguarding humanity and containing criminality, urging citizens to report any suspicious activities to the security agencies, emphasizing that “if you know something, or see something, say something.” By working together, citizens and security agencies can effectively address insecurity and promote peace.

He pointed out, that criminality is not a respecter of religion, ethnicity or political party, calling on Citizens to work together within the ambit of the Law to safeguard humanity while security agencies do their best to contain the Criminality.

According to Prof. Kwaja, the Plateau State government is committed to promoting peace and stability for all its citizens and by shunning retaliation and embracing lawful solutions, the state can make progress in addressing insecurity and building a safer future for all while also urging citizens to support the government efforts and work together to promote peace and stability in the state.

The special Envoy underscores the leadership and unwavering commitment of theu Plateau state Governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, which he said has demonstrated his commitment to addressing the security challenges, uniting and securing all its Citizens.

“The government has been working tirelessly with all stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental actors, to address insecurity and promote peace in the affected communities”, Prof. Kwaja Added.
