Former Kaduna Senator Shehu Sani has issued a reminder to the Federal Government regarding its promise to commence aircraft manufacturing in Nigeria. He emphasized that there are only two months left until the deadline set by the previous administration.
Recall that the ex-Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika announced that Nigeria will commence the manufacturing of aircraft before the end of 2023.
Sirika disclosed this in 2021 after he paid an inspection visit to an airplane manufacturing company in Pogany, Hungary.
The former minister emphasized that the local production of aircraft in the country will facilitate the growth of Nigeria as a regional aviation superpower as it will also come with maintenance and repair facilities that will attract patronage from neighbouring countries.
