Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has responded to Nigerians mocking her amid reports of a marital crisis with her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko.
In a video shared online, the actress questioned why people expected her to publicize her pain, saying no one flaunts their sadness.
“As long as you were never in my shoes, you will never understand. What were you guys expecting me to show off? That I was being beaten? That I was sad?” she said.
Regina acknowledged that people are free to laugh or say she’s now facing the reality behind the luxury she once displayed, but insisted that her private struggles were not for public entertainment.
“It’s okay to laugh. When I was flaunting wealth, no one was there to share it with me. Nobody ever flaunts their sadness because people will only mock them,” she added.
The actress ended the video playfully threatening to “break her phone,” hinting at frustration over online comments surrounding her personal life.
