The Federal Police have arrested Kingsley Nebo, the owner of Dandatec Real Estate, over his alleged involvement in the murder of a 25-year-old man, Sochima Onoh, in Enugu State.

Nebo was reportedly apprehended alongside five accomplices, while others linked to the case remain at large. In a video confession, the suspect allegedly admitted to paying ₦1 million for the killing, which occurred on July 12, 2025.

According to Alex Onyia, CEO of Educare, who hails from the affected community, Nebo’s motive was to incite a communal clash that would allow him to seize land through the Enugu State Geographical Information System (ENGIS).

“His plan was to kill someone from my community to create an avenue for communal clash, which would enable him, through ENGIS, to grab lands as he has done in other communities,” Onyia stated.

He further alleged that Nebo often bragged about his influence over local law enforcement. “The same man boasts that all the police in Enugu are in his pocket,” Onyia claimed.

Onyia confirmed that a special squad from the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police (Force Intelligence Department) was deployed from Abuja to arrest Nebo and his accomplices for thorough investigation.

He also vowed that the slain young man would not be buried until justice is served.
