Popular Nigerian actor, Ray Emodi, has announced that he is stepping away from film acting to concentrate fully on his music career.
The entertainer disclosed this in a post shared on Instagram, explaining that many fans had been asking about his reduced presence on screen.
Reflecting on his time in the movie industry, Emodi recounted that some productions exposed him to unsafe conditions, including filming in locations where gunshots could be heard nearby. He described his decision to leave acting as a difficult but necessary personal choice.
The actor also noted that his family has reservations about the move due to expectations tied to their name and reputation, adding that he would not pursue anything that could tarnish it.
Addressing public misconceptions, Emodi clarified that certain items seen in his music visuals were merely props used for performance and not real objects.
Despite stepping away from films, he expressed appreciation to his fans and assured them he is not leaving entertainment entirely, but rather shifting his focus to creating music, particularly songs suited for the dance floor.
