“It’s a genocide, and I’m really angry about it” – Says Trump

United States President Donald Trump has expressed outrage over what he describes as a Christian genocide in Nigeria, claiming that thousands of Christians are being killed in the country.

Speaking on a conservative radio program on Friday, as reported by Fox News, Trump accused the Nigerian government of failing to protect Christians from violence perpetrated by Islamist extremists. He described the situation as “a disgrace” and threatened possible military intervention if the Nigerian authorities do not act to stop the attacks.

Trump, who previously designated Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern’ over the alleged Christian genocide, also hinted that the US may suspend aid to the West African nation.

“Nigeria is a disgrace. The whole thing is a disgrace. They’re killing people by the thousands. It’s a genocide, and I’m really angry about it. And we pay, you know, we give a lot of subsidies to Nigeria. We’re going to end up stopping,” Trump said during the broadcast.

The US President’s latest remarks underscore mounting international attention on the security situation in Nigeria, particularly concerning attacks on Christian communities.
