The Presidency has reacted to the political coalition formed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, ex-Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, and former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi, among other political figures, ahead of the 2027 elections.

In its response, the Tinubu-led administration described the coalition as a group of disgruntled politicians who do not have the interest of the masses at heart.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated that President Tinubu remains focused on governance and is committed to building a prosperous country.

He also referred to the coalition as an amalgam of Tinubu haters who are after their self-interest.

According to him: “He (Tinubu) is on the way to achieving this. Two months to his midterm, he has many solid achievements to showcase. Intractable problems are being tackled headlong.

“He cannot be distracted by the so-called coalition of politicians. They are not politicians after the public good. It’s all about their self-interest.

“They are disgruntled. They are a frustrated lot. The leaders are sore losers. The coalition is an amalgam of Tinubu haters. Their agenda is to stop Tinubu.”
