Renowned media personality Bello Lukman has disclosed that he was invited by the police on Monday afternoon following a promotional Facebook post he made about Stanel Table Water.
According to Lukman, the post was part of a giveaway campaign encouraging users to mention the owners of Stanel Table Water and provide their address details. He clarified that the promotion was strictly related to Stanel Table Water and not Stanel Oil.
He revealed that the owner of Stanel Oil reportedly filed a petition alleging that the post was intentionally designed to malign and cyberbully him, despite the businesses being separate entities.
Lukman stated that there were initial moves to have him taken to Abuja immediately, but officers instead advised that a formal invitation be issued. He has now been invited to report to the Police Headquarters, Abuja, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
The media personality expressed concern over the situation and prayed for divine protection, urging calm as the matter unfolds.
