The former President of The National Association Of Nigerian Nigerian Students, Comrade Prince Miaphen, Has taken to social media to share his opinion about the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong on the forthcoming Plateau South Senatorial By-Election set for 31st October.
Prince Miaphen alleged that the said candidature of the APC for the Plateau South Senatorial seat in which prof Nora Daddut emerged was an imposition in what he titled as “My Party Affiliation” as a member of the APC. He further stated that Mr Governor has failed to attract infrastructural, educational and economic developments to the southern zone of which he belongs.
Prince said his “Desire and Motivation” was in channeling his grievances in “working against his Party” APC in the forthcoming election and punishing the APC by voting the opposition and supporting the candidature of George Daika, whom he described as having a better legislative experience and political goodwill to deliver in the two years remaining which wouldn’t give room for experimentation.

SOUTHERN ZONE BYE ELECTION OCT 31st 2020: A Referendum on Mr. Governor’s Performance in the Southern Zone.
My Take..
By my modest assessment of Mr. Governor’s over five years stint in office thus far and still counting, I can confidently say without any iota of doubt and with all sense of certainty that he has failed to attract the kind of infrastructural, educational and economic developments to us – the Constituents and people – of Southern Plateau.
YES he is the Governor of the entire Plateau State but they say Charity begins at home.
One should easily see the passion of His Excellency’s commitment to the advancement of the State from examplars of projects and activities in his primary zone. Howbeit, the contrary is the case as Southern Plateau lacks good road networks connecting the entire zone, we lack water supply in totality, very poor medical facilities, no proper power supply and has poor records of Youth empowerment among so many other things. Having widely traveled across the entire 36 states of the federation, I can categorically tell any discerning mind that I have not seen any Governor Past or Current in our recent democracy that has failed to develop where he or she comes from. This is therefore a dismal low on the scorecard for Barr. Simon Lalong as governor of Plateau State.
My Party Affiliation…
YEs, I am an APC Person but in this coming bye elections I have chosen to work against my Party’s candidate for two prime reasons;1. The intimidation, blackmail, and imposition of a Care taker Candidate by the Powers that be for their selfish interest against the wishes of the people for 2023 agenda rather than conducting a free and credible Party primary election.
2. The Choice of the Chosen Candidate was against the principle of rewarding loyalty to deserving loyal party men and women that have labored for the growth and development of the party in the Southern Zone.
My Motivation!
I am motivated in working for the Candidate of the PDP because he has the better legislative experience and political goodwill to deliver in the the two years remaining which wouldn’t give room for experimentation. As a former Speaker and former Federal legislator representing the same area of the senatorial zone, it is obvious that the Cap fits him more..My Desire!
Is for my Party the APC to lose in this forth coming senatorial bye election as a Mark of Protest against the Governor by the entire Zone so that the Governor and his men will be forced to develop the Zone before he leaves office if at all he will still be interested in his Senate Ambition come 2023.
Finally, let me note that as far as this October bye election is concerned, it is the Governor’s name that will be on the ballot paper against that of the PDP, so let’s Unite and Punish the APC with our Votes for the Neglect of our Zone…
Comrade Prince Miaphen Cares…
