The recently reinstated Speaker of the Plateau state house of Assembly, Rt Hon Abok Nuhu Ayuba, today led other members of the house to hold plenary proceedings at the house for the first time after his 18 months alleged impeachment.
Rt Hon Abok resumed duty as speaker of the house taking over the office premises of the speaker after the court reinstated him on Monday in a judgement delivered by Justice Nafisat Lawal Musa.
In his welcome address after 18 months of Legislative impasse in the 9th Assembly, the Speaker said: “I want to welcome back all honorable members and staff of the House to a normal Plenary. The plenaries will start from where it stops 18 months ago since October 2021.”
The Plenary Of Plateau State House Of Assembly Presided Over By Speaker, Rt Hon Abok Nuhu Ayuba also had the adoption of the Report on a Bill for a Law to Establish a Plateau State Social Investment Programme (PLASSIP) and Other Matters Related and passed the third reading.
