The candidate tasked the newly inaugurated Council to work hard toward winning the election. She further called on all PDP members to move into their various polling units across Kanke Local Government Areas to canvas for votes for all PDP candidates in all elections starting from the Presidential on February 25, 2023, emphasizing that it’s only the PDP that has presented credible candidates in all the elections.

“I stand before you this afternoon asking you to send me on an errand and by the grace of God, I will not disappoint you. Let me also make it clear that all the PDP candidates for the General Elections are credible. I, therefore, urge you to vote for all the candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming elections. As you all know, the election would commence with the Presidential and National Assembly. As a party woman, I urge you to cast your votes for PDP candidates in all the elections. Ensure you vote PDP for the Presidential, Senatorial, and House of Representatives candidates on February 25, 2023. March 11, 2023, is the day of my Election. Equally, make sure you elect our Governor and candidates for House of Assembly under our party”.

The DG of the Campaign Council, Hon. Silas Yitman in his acceptance speech thanked Goyit for picking him for the assignment saying,

“it’s a huge privilege, honor, and a great responsibility to take on the job and I will do it with everything I have to the best of my ability for the sake of our party and our constituency”.

The DG acknowledged there was no more time at hand and called on other members of the Council and members of the party to move down to their units and canvass for votes for the elections.

“The era of winning elections by staying outside has gone and we must take time now to visit our polling units and ensure we take more than half of the registered voters available,” the DG said.

Joseph Gonsum former Chairman Kanke Local Government Council, Hon. Amos Gombi former Member who represented Kanke state constituency in the Plateau House of Assembly, Nde Fidelis Wuyep, Hon. Salome Tanimu, PDP candidate for Pankshin South state constituency.

Those who equally spoke at the occasion were representatives of the Youths, Women, and stakeholders, Hon. Fidelis Dakwon, Mrs. Jerusa Gotau, and Hon. Joseph Gonsum respectively.

Other stakeholders who volunteered to speak to this medium after the event pray God to give members of the campaign council the strength to deliver stressing that people were relying on the council taking into account the pedigree of its DG.

Most of them however, was quick to add that every member of the PDP was a member of the campaign council, “and I expect every PDP member to take it upon themselves to deliver their booths and leave the rest to God. We must start house-to-house, door-to-door, room-to-room, place-to-place campaigns because everybody is important to canvass for votes for PDP candidates in all the elections”, said Jerry Gopep, a stakeholder of the PDP in Kanke.

Hon. Jiritmwa Goyit had (before the commencement of the event) visited and received the blessings of the District Head of Amper, Nde Harrison Jurme who was represented by the Madaki, Nde Emmanuel Jatau.
