The Opta Supercomputer has predicted the five teams most likely to win the UEFA Champions League as the Round of 16 fixtures begin on Tuesday.
Defending champions Paris Saint‑Germain will face Chelsea FC, while Bayern Munich take on Atalanta BC. Arsenal FC will meet Bayer Leverkusen, and Real Madrid are set for another clash with Manchester City.
Ahead of the matches, Opta’s projections place Arsenal as the team with the highest probability of winning the competition, giving the English club a 26.9 percent chance of lifting the trophy.
Bayern Munich follow with a 16.2 percent chance, while Manchester City are given an 11.3 percent probability. Liverpool FC have an 11 percent chance, and FC Barcelona are placed fifth with a 9.5 percent probability.
Among the five favourites, only Arsenal and Barcelona are on opposite sides of the tournament draw.
Meanwhile, if Manchester City overcome Real Madrid in their Round of 16 encounter, they are projected to face Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.
