Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has awarded ₦2.5 million each to the three best graduating students of the Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences, Ilese-Ijebu, in recognition of their academic excellence.
The announcement was made during the 3rd Combined Convocation Ceremony of the institution on Thursday, where the governor, represented by his Special Adviser on Secondary Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, commended the students for their outstanding performance.
Abiodun emphasized that the gesture aligns with his administration’s commitment to fostering intellectual growth and excellence in the education sector.
The governor, in his address, praised the management of the institution for its continued development, despite its relatively recent establishment.
He stated, “The state government’s commitment to continue to invest further in the education sector while ensuring that students and institutions have the necessary resources to excel remains sacrosanct
“Education is the bedrock of any society, and we will continue to ensure that our students have access to quality education.
“The rewarding of these outstanding students today is a reflection of our commitment to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.”
The recipients of the ₦2.5 million reward are:
- Famuyewa Aminat (Dental Technology)
- Temilola Rasak (Health Information Management)
- Kanyinsola Salami (Environmental Health Technology)
