Vibrant Performances and Bold Art Take Center Stage, Bringing Together Creatives, Tourists, and Cultural Enthusiasts in Jos

The city of Jos is buzzing with colour, music, and artistic expression as the Enchanting Plateau Exhibition 2025 enters its final days at Odilins Event Center. The week-long festival, which opened on December 1 and runs until December 7, has become a major attraction for creatives, entertainment lovers, and cultural enthusiasts from across Nigeria. This year’s edition goes beyond showcasing art—it is reinforcing unity and strengthening Plateau’s growing footprint in the national entertainment space.

Musawa Applauds the Exhibition’s Cultural Impact
Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, hailed the exhibition as a transformative cultural platform that has elevated Plateau State’s creative identity within a short time. Although she was not physically present, she expressed strong support for the initiative, describing the theme “One” as a powerful message of unity and shared identity. Musawa commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his consistent support to the creative sector and reaffirmed the Federal Ministry’s commitment to broadening opportunities within the creative value chain. She said initiatives like Enchanting Plateau strengthen Nigeria’s soft power and cultural influence globally.

Convener David Thomas Highlights Vision Behind the Initiative
Exhibition convener, David Thomas, said Enchanting Plateau was created to give Plateau’s creatives a consistent, world-standard platform that reflects the quality of their talent. He noted that although the state has produced outstanding musicians, actors, and visual artists, it lacked a platform that matched national and international expectations. In the past year alone, the initiative has showcased more than 300 artworks, supported over 100 artists, hosted school competitions, and built strategic partnerships. Thomas urged the public to attend, enjoy the performances, and support the artists, stressing that such engagement is vital to expanding the state’s creative industry.

Artists Praise Platform, Creative Energy
Musical artist Fortune Anjugu described the exhibition as “a blessing,” applauding the collaborative spirit that defines this year’s edition. He commended Thomas for building a structured system that promotes visibility and long-term opportunities for creatives. Fortune highlighted a standout artwork inspired by the Mugavu language of the Mangu people, calling the overall experience enriching and unifying.

Experiencing the exhibition for the first time, she expressed admiration for its stunning setup, vibrant performances, and creative displays. Omojo noted that the exhibition is deserving of documentation and preservation for future generations.

Spoken-word artist and tech professional Gideon King (G. King) described the event as a world-class platform that fuels creativity and visibility for artists. He emphasized that art “keeps the world alive” and encouraged the public to support creatives through patronage and promotion. He urged artists to collaborate and push their creative boundaries, saying the exhibition inspires them to refine their craft.
