“We never knew the exact day she was born so I decided to fix a day just to honour her.”
Gospel singer Moses Bliss has celebrated his mother’s birthday in a touching and emotional way, marking the first time she has ever been honoured on her special day.
The award-winning artiste revealed that his mother had never celebrated her birthday before, as she was always more focused on helping others than on herself. Determined to change that, Bliss said he decided to organise a celebration in her honour and choose a date to mark the occasion.
Sharing emotional moments from the event, he wrote:
“Today, I cried. For the first time in my mother’s entire life, we celebrated her birthday. All these years, we never knew the exact day she was born, so I decided to fix a day just to honour her. And it meant the world to me.”
He added that his mother confessed she had never thought about celebrating birthdays, a statement that moved him deeply.
“This woman has spent her whole life pouring into others, never once pausing to be celebrated herself. Seeing her smile and watching her receive love and honour was one of the most emotional moments of my life. I cried because she deserves the world,” he said.
Bliss ended his post by expressing heartfelt gratitude and love to his mother, describing her as his “gift from God” and celebrating the moment as a shared milestone in their lives.
