The Chief Executive Officer of MMB Connect, Ambassador Echelon Samuel, has called for calm among business operators and residents in Plateau State, urging them not to allow recent security incidents to disrupt unity and economic activities.

He expressed appreciation to the Grand Patron of the movement, Seyi Tinubu, and Plateau State Director of the movement, Hon. David Daser, for finding him worthy of the position.

Samuel commended Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang for efforts in sustaining peace and unity, noting that residents have enjoyed relative stability in recent times.

According to him, Plateau State’s diverse population continues to demonstrate unity across religious and ethnic lines, stressing that peace remains essential for business growth and social cohesion.

He reaffirmed the movement’s support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pledged that non-indigenous residents would play an active role in promoting peaceful coexistence and civic participation.

Samuel also urged security agencies to bring perpetrators of recent violence to justice, warning that reprisals and fear-driven reactions could worsen tensions.

Addressing traders and market stakeholders, he advised against panic and the spread of unverified information, noting that false rumours have previously caused unnecessary market closures.

“Do not give fear a chance. Verify information before sharing it. Fake news spreads faster than truth and can create unnecessary panic,” he said.

He added that security agencies and government authorities have been proactive in maintaining safety, encouraging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.

Samuel emphasized that citizens also have a responsibility to support peace efforts by cooperating with authorities and discouraging actions capable of escalating tensions.
