The National Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has claimed he spent ₦756 million of his personal funds to support President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 presidential campaign.
In a viral video circulating on social media, MC Oluomo revealed that he did not receive any financial assistance from Abuja during the campaign, insisting that all expenses were personally funded.
According to him, the ₦756 million covered several campaign logistics, including hotel accommodation and daily stipends for campaign workers. He said about 140 hotel rooms were rented at ₦45,000 per night for four months, in addition to other expenses incurred throughout the campaign period.
MC Oluomo stated that his actions were driven by loyalty and commitment to President Tinubu, whom he described as a leader worthy of unwavering support.
He further disclosed that plans were already underway in preparation for the 2027 presidential election, assuring that he and his team remain fully committed to ensuring Tinubu’s re-election.
The revelation has stirred mixed reactions among Nigerians, with some praising his dedication while others questioned the source and necessity of such a large personal expenditure on a political campaign.
