… Accuses Ex-Husband, Politician’s Son of Threats and Property Dispute
A Nigerian woman, Maryjane Diali, has taken to social media to accuse her ex-husband and the son of a top politician of allegedly plotting to harm her and take over their properties.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Diali alleged that for the past year, the politician’s son had been backing her ex-husband in a campaign to “eliminate” her and claim their jointly owned assets.
“First of all, you started by giving my ex-husband all the necessary backups to eliminate me so that he can have all our properties to himself and to his new-found love,” she wrote.
Diali accompanied her posts with photos from their traditional and white wedding ceremonies, stating she regretted the marriage. “I curse this day and may my ancestors continue to fight you,” she wrote in one caption.
She further alleged that the marriage derailed her personal and professional aspirations. “I had a life before marriage… I was focused and determined to achieve success not until you came into my life and put me to public ridicule, embarrassment, and humiliation,” she stated.
The posts, part of a series that began on August 4, contained strong language and repeated accusations, with Diali expressing her desire for the alleged perpetrators to face the same experiences “in 1000 folds.”
As of press time, neither the ex-husband nor the politician’s son had publicly responded to the allegations.
