Nigerian actress Regina Daniels recently shared an emotional video online, tearfully revealing struggles in her personal life, prompting an outpouring of support from colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Actress and producer Mary Remmy Njoku expressed her heartbreak after watching the video, recalling how Nigerians have witnessed Regina grow from a child star into a wife and mother. Mary wrote:

“Watching your video this morning brought tears to my eyes. I practically watched you grow. In fact, all of Nigeria did. Seeing the woman you’ve become break down online truly breaks my heart.”

Mary, a mother of two daughters, emphasized the importance of empathy and respect, regardless of marital circumstances. She noted, “When a marriage ends, real men understand that even if she stops being your wife, she never stops being the mother of your children,” and urged Nigerians, particularly women, to show support instead of ridicule.

Popular actor Jide Kene also reacted, describing staying silent in such situations as “wickedness” and calling the treatment Regina reportedly faces “inhumane.” He wrote on Instagram:

“I am no elder, but what Pa Ned is doing to this young lady he married at 17 and has two kids is nothing short of inhumane. This is black slavery and oppression.”

Jide added that marriage is not by force and condemned those mocking the situation, saying: “Watching this unfold breaks my heart. I’m praying for Regina and for anyone going through the same.”

Skitmaker and singer Nasboi also criticized Nigerians who have mocked Regina online, highlighting concerns for her mental health. In a post on X, he stated:

“Regina Daniel has said many things but people are laughing and abusing her… No one cares if the lady is depressed. God forbid anything happens to her, same people will be the first to comment Rip. Very toxic country.”

The outpouring of support underscores the need for compassion and understanding in matters involving personal and marital struggles, particularly when children are involved.
