Popular American streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr., widely known as IShowSpeed, has praised Nigerian cuisine, describing Nigerian jollof rice as the best in the world.
Speed made the remark during his livestream in Lagos on Wednesday while weighing in on the long-standing debate over which African country makes the best jollof rice.
The content creator, who recently arrived in Nigeria from Senegal after streaming the country’s AFCON trophy parade, said Nigerian jollof rice tasted better than its Senegalese counterpart.
“Nigerian jollof rice is good. It tastes better than Senegal jollof rice. I think I would have to go with Nigeria in terms of which country has the best jollof rice,” he said.
His comment has since sparked excitement among Nigerian fans online, with many celebrating his endorsement of the country’s popular delicacy.
