Businessman Isaac Fayose has mocked the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, following his heated altercation with some military officers guarding a disputed parcel of land in the Gaduwa District of Abuja.
The land, identified as Plot 1946, is reportedly linked to a former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo (retd).
Wike, who had visited the area with a bulldozer to demolish ongoing structures, explained that his officials had earlier attempted to stop the development but were allegedly chased away by soldiers stationed at the site. According to the minister, the developers lacked the necessary documentation to build on the property.
Determined to enforce compliance, Wike said he decided to visit the location personally, only to be confronted by military personnel who insisted they were acting on the orders of their superior officer.
A viral video from the scene captured one of the soldiers standing his ground and refusing to allow the minister proceed, sparking reactions online.
Reacting in his own video shared on social media, Fayose taunted Wike, saying the minister had “finally met his match.”
“Wike don meet person wey senior am. I love this soldier! The guy dey talk back — bully don meet bully,” Fayose said in Pidgin English.
